（PAKDD 2008）をご案内します。オンライン参加申し込みは、以下のオン
ラインレジストレーションサイトにて４月２８日（月）まで受け付けています。
それ以降は、以下のレジストレーションサイトより専用申込用紙をダウンロ
ードできるようにしますので、記入後、申込用紙記載の電子メールアドレス
（eckansai2 (at) or.knt.co.jp）に電子ファイルを添付して送付するか、もしくは
指定ＦＡＸ番号（06-6202-7291）にＦＡＸで送付して申し込んでください。
なお、５月１２日（月）以降は当日会場参加申し込みとなります。皆様ふる
ってご参加ください。お待ちしています。

Conference Scope
The Pacific-Asia Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining
(PAKDD) is a leading international conference in the areas of data
mining and knowledge discovery. It provides an international forum
for researchers and industry practitioners to share their new ideas,
original research results and practical development experiences from
all KDD related areas including data mining, data warehousing,
machine learning, databases, statistics, knowledge acquisition,
automatic scientific discovery, data visualization, causal induction
and knowledge-based systems.
The conference calls for participants who have interests on the study
and its application of data mining and knowledge discovery. The
conference also calls for participants of the workshops and the
tutorials which are co-organized to provide the occasions to exchange
information and to learn the cutting edge of data mining and knowledge
discovery technology.
The conference venue is Hotel Seagull, located in beautiful Osaka bay
area which is less than 15 minutes by subway from Osaka city center.
Many places of interest including internationally renown Osaka Aquarium
"Kaiyukan", a museum and a market place are within 5 minutes walk from
the conference venue. Universal Studios Japan is reachable by cruise in
10 minutes. Accommodations for student participants are available in
reasonable prices (around 50USD/night/person).
